Product Description
Laser Plywood ( LaserPly )
Laser Plywood ( LaserPly ) is a high-quality, precision-engineered material that has become increasingly popular across various industries, including manufacturing, design, architecture, and crafts. Its exceptional strength, durability, and versatility make it an ideal choice for projects requiring intricate designs and flawless finishes. The ability to create precise cuts and complex shapes with laser technology allows designers and manufacturers to push the boundaries of creativity, transforming ideas into tangible products that meet modern aesthetic and functional demands.
Composition and Production
laser plywood ( laserply ) is predominantly made from 100% birch, a hardwood renowned for its fine grain, smooth surface, and excellent machining properties. Birch plywood is selected for its stability and strength, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of various applications. The manufacturing process involves bonding thin layers of birch veneer using high-quality adhesives. This multi-layered approach not only enhances the plywood’s structural integrity but also allows for consistent thickness and uniformity throughout the sheets, which is crucial for laser cutting precision.
Production Features
The production of laser plywood ( laserply ) incorporates advanced techniques that focus on quality and environmental safety. The multi-layer structure is bonded with urea-formaldehyde glue, which provides strong adhesion while maintaining low levels of harmful emissions. This adhesive choice is important as it ensures the plywood is safe for indoor use, especially in environments sensitive to air quality. The plywood also adheres to stringent environmental safety standards, such as E1 and EPA TSCA Title VI, confirming its compliance with regulations designed to minimize formaldehyde emissions and promote a healthier living space.
Key Features
- Strength: laser plywood ( laserply ) exhibits exceptional resistance to abrasion, making it suitable for high-traffic areas and applications where durability is essential. Its strong composition prevents chipping and warping, ensuring long-lasting performance even in demanding conditions.
- Weather Resistance: The plywood’s structural integrity allows it to withstand various weather conditions, making it an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor applications. Whether used in outdoor furniture or architectural elements, it maintains its appearance and functionality over time.
- Easy Maintenance: The smooth surface of laser plywood ( laserply ) makes it easy to clean and maintain. Regular dusting and occasional wiping with a damp cloth are sufficient to keep it looking pristine, reducing the time and effort needed for upkeep.
- Environmental Safety: With formaldehyde emissions as low as 0.1-0.3 mg/m² h, this product meets E1 class standards, ensuring it is a safe choice for residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This focus on safety contributes to a healthier indoor air quality, which is especially important for spaces where people spend significant time.
Surface Types
laser plywood ( laserply ) is available in a variety of surface finishes to accommodate different aesthetic preferences and functional requirements:
- Sanded on both sides (S2S): This finish provides a smooth, polished appearance that is ideal for projects requiring a refined look. It is particularly well-suited for applications where the plywood will be visible, such as cabinetry or decorative wall panels.
- Not sanded (NS): This option features a textured surface, which can provide better grip and may be preferred for specific design aesthetics or functional needs, such as creating a rustic or natural look in furniture or crafts.
Areas of Application
laser plywood ( laserply )’s versatility allows it to be used in a wide range of applications, including:
- Signage: The precision of laser cutting makes it perfect for creating detailed and custom signs. Whether for commercial use or artistic purposes, laser plywood ( laserply ) allows for intricate designs that stand out.
- Furniture: This material is ideal for modern furniture designs that require intricate patterns and shapes. Designers can use laser cutting to create unique pieces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, enhancing any space.
- Decorative Arts: Artists and crafters can utilize laser plywood ( laserply ) to create elaborate artworks, sculptures, and home decor items. The ability to achieve fine details makes it a favorite among creative professionals.
- Architecture: Suitable for architectural model making and detailed components, laser plywood ( laserply ) offers architects a lightweight yet strong option for prototyping and showcasing their designs.

The images show how the plywood approximately looks. The plywood sheets may differ from the photographs below within the ambit of permissible defects. Each grade has its own permissible defects, check with your manager for details.
Grade B/B, B/BB plywood is used in furniture production and interior and exterior decorating. If the appearance of the sheets and maximum strength are crucial for your objectives, it’s best to choose grade B, which also has the tightest technical control when it comes to production. Only minor defects are permissible.
Grade BB/BB, BB/CP is mainly used as a flooring base or as various furniture elements, and also as a foundation for laminated plywood.
